“The Sailfish Capital of the World”
The City of Stuart, recently voted one of the top 100 places to retire, is a multi-faceted jewel on the Treasure Coast of south Florida. Being located on several bodies of water, including the St. Lucie River and the Intracoastal Waterway, allows even Martin Memorial Hospital to provide scenic water views for its patients. But, it is the heart of downtown Stuart that captures the fancy of visitors. Here you’ll find a quaint, two-street village dotted with more than 80 boutiques, curiosity shops and restaurants. You can buy some of the world’s best chocolate at Kilwin’s or Hoffman’s, purchase home-grown produce at the Farmers’ Market or acquire a unique statue of a giraffe or elephant at one of the many galleries and gift shops. If hunger strikes, you can stop at one of the many taverns for a burger or settle in for a gourmet meal at the Zagat rated Flagler Grill. All of this in the space of two short blocks that look very much like a small town right out of the 50’s.
Love where you live. Willoughby.
