Wedged between densely populated Palm Beach County to the south and burgeoning St. Lucie County to the north, Martin County remains the favorite of those seeking a Florida lifestyle that’s more relaxed with less congestion, low density, lower taxes and a responsible growth plan for the future.

Almost perfect weather -

Uniquely located on Florida’s Treasure Coast, Martin County benefits from gentle east coast breezes, the influence of the Gulf Stream and what’s known as the Lake Okeechobee effect that limits heavy rainfall in the area. The result is a moderate, virtually bug free climate all year.

Ideal location -

Martin County sits halfway between Palm Beach and Vero Beach. Located at the confluence of the Atlantic Ocean, the Intracoastal Waterway and the St. Lucie and Indian Rivers, the county has easy access to sailing, boating, fishing and many beaches that are open to the public.

Shopping abounds -

Historic downtown Stuart with its boutiques and small village appeal is the centerpiece of Martin County. The Gardens Mall with stores like Saks, Bloomies and Nordstrom is less than thirty minutes away, and Worth Avenue with its famous designer shops is another fifteen minutes away in Palm Beach. For discount shopping there are outlet malls less than an hour to the north or the south.

Dining aplenty -

Martin County is home to Zagat’s top rated area “Food” restaurant, 11 Maple, as well as a variety of others including eight more Zagat rated restaurants, family owned bistros, micro breweries and ethnic eateries.

Theater, concerts, dance & more –

In downtown Stuart The Lyric Theater offers a full calendar of shows and concerts with performers like The Lettermen, the Beach Boys, Mark Shields and Joshua Bell. The Elliott Museum features local artists and a unique collection of antique cars. The Martin County library system serves residents with six branches and hosts the annual “Bookmania” event with authors like James Patterson and Stuart Woods. In West Palm Beach the Kravis Center features Broadway shows like “South Pacific” and “Jersey Boys” plus individual celebrity performers, international symphony orchestras and the Miami City Ballet.
